Storm 6 - Red Wings 5

4/26

The STORM pull off big win today defeating the REDWINGS, 6 to 5.

The STORM played a good defensive game lead by pitchers Tony Cichocki, Cody Weidner, Liam Conlan and Kyle Cichocki.

The Redwings put up a good team effort and hit the ball well putting up the only points on the board in the second inning leading

the STORM, 2 to 0. They also put up a good defensive front lead by pitcher Kellen Chervin and a host of others but just couldn't

hold the STORM in the 4th, where they brought in three runs and three more in the 5th, sparked by a base hit from Khalil Gallien,

Liam Conlan and Thomas Mowen.

The pressure was on in the 6th; The STORM had Kyle Cichocki at the mound. Kyle gave up three runs and looked worried

until Shortstop Cody Weidner pulled off a double play, which help give him the confidence to strike out the last batter ending

the game with a STORM VICTORY.  Great Job Storm Keep up the hard work.

Bats 11 - Volcanoes 3

Three runs were scored by the Bats' Jordan Jackson and two runs each by Matthew Konczal, Dorian Royster and Andrew Nurmi,

as the Bats kept flying by home plate on opening day.  Other runs were scored by Stephen Spicuzza and Ryan Taylor, who also had

four RBI on the day.  Royster and Jackson pitched a great game for the Bats, allowing only one run in the second inning and two runs

in the fifth.  Frank Buck, Jr. and Dana Charles reached base twice for the Volcanoes.  Nadia Goolsby played a solid game behind

the plate for the Volcanoes and did a nice job on the mound, as well.

Bulls 7 - Lookouts 2

4/26

Bats 9  Lookouts 2

4/28

This one had it all -- good pitching, timely hitting and awesome defense! The Lookouts' offense was led by Vince Bacelli

and Brandon Hill, each with two hits.  Jalen Lillard also added a single to the cause.  The Lookouts, however, will long remember

this game for two outstanding defensive plays -- one by Caleb Danford at shortstop, who snared a scorching grounder and t

hrew out the Bats' very fast Dorian Royster, and the other by pitcher Simon Limback, who snagged a liner and almost doubled

up the Bats' base runner on first.  Great job guys!

For the Bats, Ryan Taylor pitched a gem, going the distance while striking out twelve!

He also got two hits in the game, as did Garret Clark and Jevaugn Huffman.  Lawrence Lezuch and Cameron Elsey also added

key hits to the Bats attack.  Paul Colombo made a nice play in center, and Elsey and Jared Jordan did a nice job sharing the

catching duties on this cold evening.

The Sherrill Storm were defeated tonight by the Bulls 13 to 10.

It was a close game on this cold - dreary spring day. The Storm was led by pitchers: Anthony Cichocki, Liam Conlan,

only giving up 2 runs, but they didn't stop there out scoring the Storm in the 3rd inning 4 to 0. The Storm dug deep in the

4th inning led by pitching from Robert Fagoaga walking one batter and striking out three, but the cold got the best of the Storm

Garrett Clark had two hits for the bats, including a double.  Other hits for the winning team were tallied by L.J. Lezuch,

Jared Jordan, Cameron Elsey, Matthew Konczal and Ryan Taylor.  Taylor's hit was a grand slam, line drive gapper

to the fence in right center.  Konczal, Elsey, Jordan Jackson and Tyson Quarker each scored two runs apiece for the Bats.

Clark, Jackson and Jordan handled the pitching duties for the purple and black today.

Cody, Jie, Tommy G., Timmy (2) and Robert scored for the Storm, which played a really good game

Roberto Fagoaga(40-Pitches,2-SO) and Timmy Bates(25-Pitches,2-SO) put up a good defensive front

holding the Bats scoreless in the first 2 innings and only giving up 4-hits in the game, thanks to their

pitching and a couple of well needed catches by player's Liam Conlan & Jie Hemphill.

The Bats played an aggressive offensive game and had some great pitching from:

 Garrett Clark(56-Pitches), Jordan Jackson(75-Pitches) and Jared(12-Pitches),

which led to their 13 to 6 victory over the STORM.
