Bats 19 - Red Wings 14 5/21
It was a cold, rainy and windy night at Beacon, and the weather
really took a toll on the pitchers, as the two teams
sent a combined ten players to the mound during this four-inning ballgame. Offensive highlights for the Bats include screaming shots off the bats of Paul Colombo, Jared Jordan, Ryan Taylor and Dorian Royster. Royster's shot was a long, solo homerun that saw him rounding third by the time the centerfielder tracked it down. Kel Chervin, Emily Jaminet, Michaela Bowman, Christian Preston and Rose Cyburt played a strong game for the Red Wings, leading the last-inning, ten-run comeback! My Cal Ripken, Jr. "Iron Man" Award of the night goes to Nick Zoia, who took a batted ball to the head and got hit by a pitch, but stayed in the game and continued to play great. You are one tough ballplayer, Nick!

Bats 6 - Bulls 5 5/29
What an exciting and well-played game at Beacon tonight.
Arleayshia Currie, Michael Ciaravino and Kamil Gillette did a great job on the mound for the Bulls, as did Ryan Taylor and Dorian Royster for the Bats. Defensive standouts for the Bulls included Ciaravino, who played a nice game at shortstop and Jake Lloyd, who was tough as nails behind the plate. Royster turned a double play at first, and Jevaughn Huffman was his reliable self at second base for the Bats. Also, Andrew Nurmi did a great job in left field snaring some hard shots and making good throws. Key hits for the Bulls came off the bats of Ciaravino, A.J. Quen Wilson and Mark Clinkscales. Thomas Barrow, Gillette, Lloyd, Caleb Krueger and Quen-Wilson scored for the Bulls in their five-run second inning. For the Bats, hits by Cameron Elsey, Taylor, Royster and Jared Jordan proved huge in their come-from-behind win. Royster legged out a hard hit grounder that found its way to deep right-center and "touched 'em all" in the Bats four-run third inning.

Bats 11 - Volcanoes 0 5/31
The pitching of Jordan Jackson was pretty much the story of this
game.
Jackson threw a no hitter for his 4-1/3 inning shutout victory, before hitting his pitch-count limit prior to getting out the last two batters in today's five-inning game. During his time on the mound, Jackson registered 13 strikeouts! Offensively for the Bats, Cameron Elsey and Dorian Royster went 3 for 3, while Jared Jordan got 2 hits on the day. Tyson Quarker, Garrett Clark, Paul Colombo, Ryan Taylor and L.J. Lezuch also contributed key hits. Starter Jacob Kopp did a nice job pitching today for the Volcanoes, before the pitch-count rule forced him to leave the mound.
