Matthew Konczal ttok the mound tonight and threw a gem for the bats, scattering 3 walks while striking out 7

during his four innings of no-hit pitching. Cameron Elsey also threw well, striking out 2 in the fifth and final inning.

Konczal, Elsey, Tyson Quarker, Jared Jordan, Andrew Nurmi and Ryan Taylor each scored 2 Bat Runs.

JeVaughn Huffman & Jordan Jackson had a 2 hit game. The big blow of the night, however, was the line drive

home run off the bat of Jared Jordan to deep right-center. Other contributors big hits for the Bats tonight were:

LJ Lezuch & Steven Spicuzza. Scoring tonight for the Lookouts were Brandon Hill and Vince Bucilli.

 

Storm 14 - Bulls 2

It was awesome game today between the STORM and the Bulls, both teams put forth a great team effort on this hot muggy weather.

The visiting STORM started with a big double from Cody Weidner and scoring 1-run in the 1st inning before the Bulls

Pitcher Arleayshia Currie(87-P/6-SO) closed out the half striking out 3-batters. The STORM put Tony Cichocki(42-P/1-SO) on

 the mound to lead-off the defense and he completed the inning with 1-strike out and no hits; ending the 1st inning 1to 0 STORM.

 
The Bulls tried to hold the STORM with some good contributions from pitchers: Jake Lloyd(72-P/2-SO)

 and Michael Ciaravino(3-P/1-SO) and answer back with a good hit from Michael Ciaravino & scoring 2-runs in the 2nd inning,

but the STORM Pitcher Cody Weidner(38-P/8-SO) shut'em down with 6-strike outs in the 3rd & 4th innings.

 The game ended with a 14 to 2 STORM Victory. Great game to both teams.

It was an heated battle between the #1 & #2 Minor League Teams on this hot Saturday afternoon.

 The #2-STORM was the home team and started with Thomas Guaiana(49-P/4-SO) on the mound; he gave up 1-run before

 striking out 3 in the 1st. The STORM answered back with a hit from Cody Weidner and a triple from Kyle Cichocki,

 bringing in 2-runs giving the Storm the inning 2 to 1. This didn't stop the BATS from scoring 2 more runs in the 2nd,

 then the Storm's Roberto Fagoaga got right back with them hitting a single in the 2nd keeping the Storm alive as they brought

 in 4 more runs. The Bats played tuff defense led by pitchers: Ryan Taylor(62-P/5-SO), Jordan Jackson(30-P/3-SO)

and Dorian Royster(24-P/2-SO). The Storm tried to hold the Bats back with defense led by Cody Weidner(82-P/7-SO)

and Roberto Fagoaga(27-P/4-SO), but could beat the heat. The Bats had big hits in the 5th, with singles from:

Andrew Nurmi, Jared Jordan ( 2-3) Jordan Jackson and Ryan Taylor ( 3-3) ; a triple from Huffman and a HOMERUN from Dorian Royster.

Ending the game 11 to 7 Bats victory.  Great game to both teams.

Storm 6 - Lookouts 5

It was another close one today between the STORM and the Lookouts, both teams put forth a great team effort today.

Not only was this the last regular season game between the two teams, but the 1st inning of this game was the tie breaking decision

 from the last game they played against each other. The STORM clinched this tie breaking victory in the 1st 3 to 1, with big hits from

Hakir Oliver and Kyle Cichocki assisted by awesome defense lead by pitcher Tony Cichocki(39-P) plus a host of Storm Players,

 but the Lookouts realizing they still had a game to play-struck hard with help from Caleb Danford's big double bringing in 2-runs

 in the 2nd innning squaring the game up 3-ALL.

 
The Lookouts put forth a strong defensive front lead by pitchers: Caleb Danford(79-P/8-SO)  holding the STORM runless in the 2nd,

and Vince Bucilli(48-P/4-SO) along with a host of Lookouts holding STORM runless in the 4th & 5th innnings.

Thanks to the STORMS awesome 3rd inning, in which they had 3-hits from players Timmy Bates,

Hakir Oliver & Hakir Oliver-and scored 3-runs as well as played solid defense only giving up 1-run, lead by pitchers:

 Kyle Cichocki(76-P/6-SO) and Roberto Fagoaga(32-P/3-SO). The game ended with a 6 to 5 STORM Victory.

The STORM and the Volcanoes, both put forth a great team effort today in this the last regular season

 game between the two teams.  The STORM lead by Pitcher Roberto Fagoaga(85-P/8-SO)

,who pitched 5-innings giving up 5-hits, 3-walks and 3-runs; played a strong defensive game with

several plays from a host of STORM players. The Volcanoes played a hard five inning game fighting every

 step of the way-lead by Pitchers: Jacob Kopp(39-P/3-SO), Kyle Boyer(31-P/1-SO),

Brenden McEnvoy(39-P), Frank Buck Jr.(39-P/1-SO) and Nadia Goolsby(33-P); with big hits from:

Kyle Boyer, Jacob Kopp, Jordan Hearing and Frank Buck Jr..

 
The STORM clinched this victory, with big hits from Liam Conlan, Cody Weidner, Timmy Bates,

Thomas Guaiana and Kyle Cichocki. The game ended with a 22 to 3 STORM Victory.

Great game to both teams.
