Mets 7 - Dodgers 3

Gio Collete took the mound tonight keeping the Dodgers off balance all night long.

Gio also reached base all 4 times and scored. Other contributors at the plate for the Mets were Pat Lane who reached base all

three times and scored twice, Anthony Sarkis singled and scored, Jacob Brazil drove in two with his two hit performance,

Nick Rahaim walked twice and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly while Sean Gallagher singled twice and had a RBI.

Tonight was definitely not a night for the pitchers. The Red Sox bats erupted for 9 runs in the first inning

led by the big sticks of Michael McTighe and Lucas Schomer. The Mets said our turn in their half of a 45 minute first

by scoring 10 of their own led by singles by JP Burton, Pat Lane & Sean Gallagher, but more importantly were the great

 at bats by the rest of the team who earned some well deserved walks.

Zach Zichi started the 2nd inning with a single and scored to tie it in the second, but the Mets

scored 2 of their own led by Pat Lane who singled and scored and Chris VanTiem who also singled and scored.

The Red Sox said were not done yet either and proceeded to score 3 more runs in the third led by back to back doubles by

Mike & Lucas. Mets said not quite enough, then scored 8 runs in the bottom of the third JP singled in his 4th run of the night

while Nick Rahaim drove in 2 with a single. The Red Sox tried to comeback but fell just short

scoring 4 more in their last at bat, this time led by Mike Bojanowski, Sean O'Melia and Carston Kozial who all scored.

After tonight's win the Astros will match up against the regular season champs Mets for the playoff championship on Thursday night.

A great pitching match up tonight between Dalton Boslooper of the Astros & Gio Collette of the Mets.

Fine relief work by Jacob Brazil & JP "The Closer" Burton to finish of the Astros and lead the Mets to a City Championship.

Pat " The Doctor" Lane led the Met offense with some shots including a double and 3 runs scored, three beautiful squeeze bunts by

Nick "I come to Play" Rahaim, JP Burton & Chris VanTiem knocked in 3 for the Junior Champs,

While Mitch "Mr. Clutch" Bantien had the hit of the game driving in 2 crucial go ahead runs in the 6th inning.

Anthony "The Man" Sarkis had 2 hard hit singles & scored to cap of his great season.

The defensive play of the game was put in by Chris " Born to Catch" VanTiem and Jacob " I'll cover home" Brazil

on a passed ball that "VT" went back to the backstop made a perfect flip to Jacob to nail the runner trying to score.

Every Met came to play and with something to prove and they did exactly that !

Proving that hard work, team work and the never quit attitude leads to great things.
