Phillies 6 - Mets 5 5/20 What a night for baseball with the back drop of Ghesquire field. An excellent ball game on both sides with this game not decided until the final out of the game where the Mets were still threatening. The Mets team is a young group with tonight's line up featuring nine 13 year olds. Led by the fine pitching of JP Burton & Gio Collette keeping the Mets in this game all 7 innings. The Mets hitting attack was led by Pat Lane who roped a single, Anthony Sarkis who rocketed a triple, Gio hit a "shot" for a single while Mitch Bantien had a beautiful bunt single, sacrifice bunt and walked. JP added a single and 2 runs and Jacob Brazil also scored. Some fine defensive plays were turned in by Anthony & Gio in center, Daniele Haggerty at second, Evan Gallagher made a fine catch in deep right field while Chris "VT" was solid behind the plate.

GP White Sox 5 - Dodgers 2 5/20 The season opened and the Dodgers came out ready to play. Our defense was nothing short of spectacular. Brendan Diamond was a vacuum cleaner at short stop. Steve Cichocki made plays at first base, had a nice running catch of a hard hit fly ball in left field, and then made a beautiful throw from short stop. PJ Lemanski pitched 6 strong innings, recording 6 strike outs before giving way to Brendan who pitched a scoreless 7th. Offensively we were led by Garrett Giertz, who went 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles. Will Bly, Steve, PJ, and Brendan also had hits, but we just could not put enough runs on the scoreboard. We tip our hats to the GP White Sox for their hard fought 5-2 win.
