Mets 8 - Nationals 5 6/11 Gio Collette took the mound today for the Mets and did what was asked of him keeping the Mets in the lead throughout his pitching stint. the Mets then called on Chris VanTiem to finish the game and doing a great job. the Mets were shorthanded tonight due to GP North's graduation only have 9, some players gritted out some pulled muscles and fought through the aches and pains, played hard and earned a well deserved win over a good National team. Our Met team concept can be proven tonight when a pure hitter, Nick Rahaim laid down 2 beautiful sacrifice bunts, one suicide style bringing home a run the other leading to a run. Gio ( 2 doubles )& Jacob Brazil ( double, 2 RBI ) continue to rip the cover off the ball. then there is the "Rocket Man" Pat Lane who had 2 rope hits and 2 RBI. JP Burton continues to be a true lead-off hitter reaching base, scoring and hitting the ball hard. The true reason for the winning is DEFENSE !!! Danielle Haggerty made her routine plays at second, then was asked to play right field she made an outstanding catch. Evan Gallagher also played a solid second. Chris " The Arm " VanTiem threw out runners from his starting roll behind the plate as did JP Burton who finished the game behind the plate. Gio made a nice play at short, and Nick "I Got It"Rahaim made some nice grabs in left.

Astros 6 - Brewers 5 6/09
Dalton Boslooper steam rolled through the first
three innings of Brewer's hitters striking out 7 and giving no
runs.
Meanwhile, the Astros hit well and the Brewers
made some errors, giving up most of their runs in the third
inning.
It was a game of 'bombs' with several great plays
by Norman Ender in centerfield and Josh Godoshian in left,
including another double play from the outfield by Norm and also Dalton robbed Gregory Hoey on a deep fly ball to left center.
The Brewers almost came back, scoring four of
their five runs in the sixth after Dalton was relieved from
pitching due to a sore arm. It was a fun team effort by the Brewers, including a bases clearing triple by Jory Evans but the Astros held through the storm and won the game.
