Canadians 8 -Thunder 6 5/02 On a rainy day on Senior #2, the Canadians out-sloshed the Thunder 8-6. The Canadians were led once again by steady Michaela Kirck (2-3), Jared Rees (4-4 with a double), and Chris Walters (3-4 with 2 doubles). Olivia Randazzo shined by going 3-4 with two RBI, Luke Smith had a pair of hits, and Dean DeWaele had three hits and a run scored. The Thunder-sticks were led by John Hogrebe (3-3, 1 double and a run scored), Cameron Pope (2-3, 1 double, 2 runs scored), Miranda Smolinski and Lorenzo Mitchell, who both went 2-for-2. Other hits for the Thunder came from Zach Hogrebe, Elijah Stamatakis, DJ Hollowell and Luke Naidow. Great hitting by both teams made for a very tight outcome! It was cold and rainy but it was hot in the field as the Canadians belted out 20 hits and held on with some solid “D” in the bottom of the 6th to beat the Thunder 8-6. The Thunder bats again were alive, led by John H. (3-3) 2 runs, Cameron P. (2-3) 2 runs, 2 RBI, & a double, Lorenzo M. (2-2) 2 RBI, and Maranda S. (2-2) 1 RBI. Also getting hits were Zach H. (2-3) Eli, (1-3) DJ (1-3), Timmy (1-2) and Luke N. (1-2).

Bees 11 - Beavers 3 5/02 The Bees came to play & HIT on Saturday with a great effort for our 1st win of the season! With the game stopped twice because of lighting in the area, the Bees would not be denied their stinging at-bats against the mighty Beavers. Jonas & Anthony led the charge with solid singles which was followed by singles by Jacob, Savannah, Miles, Devone, & Mickale. We scored 4 runs in the 1st & never looked back! The hot hitting continued in the 2nd inning with singles by Philip, Nathan, Anthony & Cole which brought power hitting Jacob Foulkrod to the plate with a solid double to left field which scored Philip & Anthony. The 3rd & 4th innings brought great defensive plays by Mickale catching 2 infield fly balls & Philip making 2 smart plays at 2nd base to help quell the Beavers comeback. The Bees stinging ways picked up again in the 4th with singles by Nathan, Anthony, Jacob, Miles, Devone, & Jonathan which put 4 more runs on the board. Philip Walker earned the GAME BALL by going 3 for 3 scoring a run & making 2 great plays in the field. Great job Philip!! Congrats to the Bees on a solid 1st win of the season! GO BEES GO!!!
