Week 3

Beavers 12 - Grizzlies 9

With Carly Lemanski's outstanding offense and defense the Beavers were able to get the edge on the Grizzlies.

 Robbie Moen superb at bats (now going a consecutive 9 for 9 (the guy is on fire).

Sean Bly also made a terrific sliding save in right center to stop the ball and at least two runs from scoring. 

  GOOD JOB BEAVERS.

 

Bees 6 - Thunder 1

It was a great night for baseball as the Bees continued their stinging ways taking on the Thunder at Tyrone field in a rain-out make

up game on Friday May 9th. Cole Greene, Jacob Foulkrod, & Miles Greene led off the 1st inning with solid singles to load the bases. 

 Mickale McKithen led off the 2nd inning with a single followed by Jahmeir Shorter's 1st hit of the season which was a solid single. 

 The Bees scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning with 4 straight hits by Anthony Monteleone, Cole Greene, Jacob Foulkrod, & Miles Greene,

a solid double by Mickale McKithen & an RBI by Jahmeir Shorter.  Nathan Gunter ran out a ground ball to get on base in the 4th,

 nice running Nathan!  Jacob Foulkrod hit a solid shot to the outfield in the 5th in which the Thunder quickly got the ball in to

 hold him to a single.  Miles Greene singled & Devone Williams hit into a fielders choice which forced out Miles at 2b but moved

Jacob to 3rd.  Mickale McKithen got his 3rd hit of the night & 2nd RBI as Jacob scored from 3B. Their was no quit in the

 Thunder as they loaded the bases in the 6th & pushed across 1 run & threatened more.  

Mickale earned the Game Ball tonight going 3 for 3 w/2 singles, 1 double, & 2 RBI's. Way to go Mickale!!!  

 Nice job by both teams, & congrats to the BEES for winning 2 games in a row!

In a make up game the Bees showed up ready to play and took the decision over the Thunder 6-1. 

The Thunder tried their best to put on a rally by scoring once in the sixth and ending the game with the bases loaded. 

The Thunder bats were led by Luke Naidow who went 3-3 and Timmy Dombroski who also went 3-3 and scored the lone run.

 Better Luck next time Thunder!!!
 

 

Canadians 8 - Sounds 0

On another blustery day on Beacon 2, the Canadians outlasted the Sounds 8-0.  The Canadians got hits from everyone,

with Sam Campion going 2-for-3 with a great play in right field to earn the game ball.  Michaela Kirck continues to be

 a consistent batter, getting 3 more hits.  Jared Rees and Owen Rossman got three hits as well, and Olivia Randazzo had two hits

and three RBI.  Tarran Allen, Aminah Whitfield, AJ Saffore, Luke Smith, Dean DeWaele and Jordan Buck all reached base.    

The Sounds were resilient, getting runners on base in every inning except the second, and loading them up in the sixth.  

Hits came from Kali, Tyler, Brendan, Melik, Alsce, Ryan, Mary Elizabeth and Connor.  

Great enthusiasm on this young team!
 

 

Grizzlies 12 - Thunder 3

The Thunder and the Grizzlies met up at Senior #2 on Saturday. It was the Grizzlies' bats that did most of the rumbling in a 12-3 victory.

 Shane Jackson, CJ Antkowiak (2 2b's   and 1 3b), Caleb Jackson and Stephen Sperry each had three hits. 

 The Thunder were led by three hits by D.J. Holowell, and 2 hits from John Hogrebe and Timothy Dombrowski.

On this Saturday morning the loud crack of Thunder awoke the sleeping Grizzly. 

The Thunder came out by scoring 3 runs in the first which included a double by John Hogrebe to take the early lead 3-0. 

 That was it though as the sleeping Grizzly woke up to rip the Thunder by scoring the next 12 runs to win the game 12-3. 

 The Thunder did have their chances but the Grizzly defense was incredible by fielding 10 ground balls and turning them into outs.

 Good Job Grizzlies.  The Thunder bats were led by DJ Hollowell who went 3-3 including a double, a run and an RBI,

 John Hogrebe went 2-3 with a double and a run scored and Mikhaila Kopp got her first double in PC.

Bees 12 - Sounds 7

Saturday May 10th proved to be a beautiful day for baseball as the Bees took on the Sounds at SR#2.

The Bees went on the attack early loading the bases in the 1st inning with singles by Jonas Harness, Anthony Monteleone,

& Cole Greene, but the Sounds made some great plays in the field to get out of the inning with no runs scored. 

The 2nd inning  brought 3 runs to the plate as Savannah Sams hit a solid single followed by Miles Greene with his 1st career double! 

 Devone Williams came to the plate & singled in a run with Mickale McKithen right behind with an RBI single. 

 In the 3rd inning the Bees kept stinging with 4 more runs with back to back doubles by Anthony Monteleone & Jacob Foulkrod. 

 Savannah Sams singled followed by a base hit by Miles Greene.   Devone Williams also singled in a run with

Mickale McKithen doubling & Jonathan Stalcup finishing up with his own base hit.  The 4th inning brought 4 more runs in as

 Anthony Monteleone singled & Jacob Foulkrod smashed his second double  of the game.  Savannah Sams blasted her 3rd single

of the game when Miles Greene came to the plate & took a pitch to the outfield resulting in his 2nd double of the game. 

Nice job Miles! The great hitting continued when Jonas Harness had his second single of the game followed by a rocket double

 by Philip Walker.  The Bees scored 1 more time in the 5th inning beginning with a shot to the outfield by Mickale McKithen giving

 him his second double of the day.  Jahmeir Shorter & Philip Walker singled to round out the days hitting. 

 The Sounds exploded in the 5th inning for 6 runs with several 2 out hits which made the game a lot closer, & had the 2 hour time

 limit not elapsed, the end result could have been different.  Way to go Sounds, you never quit! 

The Game ball went to Jacob Foulkrod.  Jake went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored & 1 RBI & some outstanding plays

in the field. Great job Jacob!  Awesome job to both teams for a great game!   GO BEES GO!!!
